The fall season is upon us, and with it comes a new crop of TV's best shows. For those of you just coming on to the critically-acclaimed Glee, here's a quick refresher on the show's main characters.

While the show's rabid fanbase (affectionately referred to as "Gleeks") are already up to speed, the following will help get new viewers caught up with the show's eclectic cast. WARNING: Some spoilers included.

Amber Riley plays the role of Mercedes Jones, a fashion-forward diva who's always using her stadium-sized voice to vie for the lead vocal spot - usually against Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).
