One of the most surprising celebrity hookups of the past few months has been the whirlwind romance between Twilight actress Nikki Reed and American Idol finalist Paul McDonald.  Just a couple months after the two met, they announced their engagement, and now Paul tells People.com that he and Nikki are organizing their forthcoming wedding. "We've got plans," he tells People.  "And I'll let you guys know those plans as soon as they are allowed to come out."

Paul adds that he's "really pumped up" about his engagement, and says of his fiancee, "She's an amazing lady and I'm very lucky to be hanging out with her."   He also says that even though he didn't win American Idol, he'll always be grateful to the show for allowing him to meet Nikki.  The pair first connected when the Idol finalists attended a movie premiere, where Reed was also a guest.  "I'm lucky and very thankful that we crossed paths on this random American Idol journey...that led me to my future wife, so that's cool," the always-smiling musician told People.com.
