ALL THINGS GLEE

Glee Live! On Tour! Kicks off Saturday Night in Vegas

The finale of Glee isn't until Tuesday, May 24th, but the whole cast is hitting the road starting this Saturday, May 21st, for the second annual Glee Live! In Concert! tour.  This time around, there'll be a lot more people on stage: in addition to the main cast, Darren Criss, who plays Blaine, is along for the ride, and so are the Warblers.  Ashley Fink, who plays New Directions member Lauren Zizes, is also on the bill.

For Darren Criss, who once considered putting acting on hold and becoming a musician full-time, the tour is something that's beyond his wildest dreams.  He tells ABC News Radio, "That is just a trip-and-a-half.  Just the fact that I'm going to [play the] Staples Center [in L.A.] is just so bizarre to me!"  He adds, "Even as a musician...my dream was never to be, like, a big stadium rock venue guy -- just kinda small clubs, y'know, a small fan base, I don't need anything huge or extravagant. So Glee just blows that out of the park!"  Darren is also looking forward to spending time on tour with the main Glee cast, because he doesn't have many scenes with them on the show.

Dianna Agron, who plays Quinn on Glee, also thinks going on tour is bizarre, but for a different reason.  "It's weird because I don't [claim to be] a rock star or anywhere near," she tells ABC News Radio.  "So doing something like at tour sounds, just...crazy, because although I'm playing that on a TV show, I'm an actor."

That being said, Dianna, who was on the inaugural Glee tour last year, says it was really enjoyable.  She explains, "It's very a give-and-take situation.  You're putting on a show, and they're giving you...the screaming, the laughter, the applause, all of that, it's a rare situation that you only experience when you're doing something like...theater...something instant."  She adds, "We had a great time last year with it."

The Glee Live! In Concert! tour wraps up June 18th, but fans who can't get tickets will only have to wait a couple of months to check out the show at their local theater.  During the tour, a 3D concert movie will be filmed, and plans are to have it out by August.
