3D Glee Concert Film Set for August Release
Concert films from the likes of Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus have brought in big bucks in recent years, and now the Glee crew is going for a piece of that pie. Deadline.com reports that Glee Live! 3D!, a movie based on the show's upcoming live tour, will have a two-week engagement in theaters starting August 12th. Fans who can't get tickets to the tour, which kicks off May 21st, can check out the action at their local theaters instead. In addition to musical performances, the movie will also feature behind-the-scenes moments.
Like the tour, the movie will feature Glee cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr., Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss and Ashley Fink.
