The Eagles, The Warblers to Perform at Charity Event

Philanthropists Shelli and Irving Azoff will be honored for their years of service to others by the charity organization City of Hope's Music and Entertainment Industry group. The couple will receive the 2011 Spirit of Life Award at City of Hope's annual Spirit of Life event on May 7, held this year for the first time at Universal Studios and Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.

In addition to the famous theme park's rides and other family activities, City of Hope will also roll out some top notch talent to perform at the event. The Eagles and Darren Criss and The Warblers will be among the performers to take the Gibson Amphitheatre stage.  Irving Azoff, one of music's biggest and most influential talent managers, first rose to fame in the 1970s as manager for The Eagles.

Founded in 1913, City of Hope is dedicated to raising money for research, treatment, and education programs for life-threatening diseases including cancer, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS.
