ALL THINGS GLEE
Hear Glee Cast Sing "Born This Way"; Warblers CD Heading for High Debut
This coming Tuesday's episode of Glee is a 90-minute megafest titled "Born This Way," after the Lady Gaga song. The show will feature two extra musical performances, and one of them is, of course, "Born This Way." In fact, Gaga, who was the subject of a previous Glee tribute episode, approved the song's use by the show before it was even released. The song is now available online for listening; it's performed by Kurt, Mercedes and Tina, played by Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz, respectively. During the episode, the characters will explore things they don't like about themselves -- for example, Rachel, played by Lea Michele, considers getting a nose job, while the bully Karofsky, played by Max Adler, confronts his homosexuality.
In other Glee news, the show's latest soundtrack, Glee: The Music Presents the Warblers, is on target for a nice bow on the Billboard chart next week. Sales projections put the disk at 70 thousand copies by week's end -- maybe more if many copies end up in kids' Easter baskets. That might be good enough for a #2 debut -- Adele's album 21 is likely to return to the top spot.
