Modern Family Star Says Lady Gaga Wants to Be on the Show; New Glee Gaga Episode Coming
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, one of the stars of the hit ABC comedy Modern Family, expressed his love for Lady Gaga on Live with Regis and Kelly Wednesday morning, April 6th, and revealed that Lady Gaga might actually be making an appearance in one of the episodes. Says Ferguson, "[Lady Gaga] reached out and wanted to do something with the show.”
Ferguson went on to explain the plot that's been configured for Gaga's appearance: "Mitchell, my character, wants to go to the Lady Gaga concert. [My partner] Cameron is supposed to go with me, but he’s sick in bed and he’s expecting me to stay home and take care of him.” To resolve this dilemma, Jesse said, “So I kind of, maybe drug him a little bit so I can sneak out and go see the concert.”
In other Lady Gaga on TV news, the Glee episode in which New Directions perform her hit "Born This Way" will air April 26th and will be expanded to 90 minutes. In the episode, which is also titled "Born This Way," Mr. Schue uses Gaga's music to teach the kids a lesson about self-acceptance, Lauren and Quinn compete for the prom queen crown, Rachel makes a life-changing decision, and Emma confronts her obsessive-compulsive issues.
