ALL THINGS GLEE

Glee's Matt Morrison to Duet with Gwyneth Paltrow on His Debut Album

Matthew Morrison's debut album is shaping up to be quite the star-studded affair: he'll be duetting with not one but two Oscar winners.

As previously reported, the Glee star has recorded a duet with Elton John for the project, but now Entertainment Weekly reports that fellow Gleek Gwyneth Paltrow is also on board.  Morrison and Gwyneth will perform "Over the Rainbow" on the disc -- fitting, because that's the song that Morrison used to audition for Glee, and he's performed it on the show as well.

As for why he wanted Gwyneth on the disc, Morrison tells EW, "I wanted to do a duet with a female.  I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it...it's beautiful."  The most difficult part, admits the man fans know as Mr. Schue, was actually approaching Gwyneth and asking her to participate.  He says, "I'm so not that guy."  Of course, Morrison and Gwyneth have already recorded a number of duets for Glee, so it couldn't have been that difficult.

Morrison's debut album is due in May.  Gwyneth, as Holly Holliday, will return to Glee on April 19th.
