The Black Keys Turned Down Glee as Well

Add Grammy-winning band The Black Keys to the list of acts that said no to having their music used on Glee.  Drummer Patrick Carney told Cleveland.com that the hit TV show wanted actress Gwyneth Paltrow to sing their song "Tighten Up" on a future episode.  Carney said they turned down the offer because "we didn't want that kind of exposure." 

He adds, "The thing that was really worrisome about it was that this is our first time having a single that some people know, outside our fan base. If they re-record it, you don't get any creative control over it."  Carney also admitted that he nor partner Dan Auerbach have seen the show.  So does this mean Glee creator Ryan Murphy will go off on the blues-rock duo soon, as he did when Slash and Kings Of Leon gave his show the cold shoulder?
