ALL THINGS GLEE

Anne Hathaway Creates Her Own Role for Glee; Details Emerge on Super Bowl Episode
One of Hollywood's biggest actresses may be coming to Glee soon. The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, says Anne Hathaway tracked him down at the Golden Globes to pitch him on an appearance. "She has created her own role, and I said, 'I think that's great," says Murphy. "She wants to play Chris Colfer's lesbian aunt." Anne already has the songs picked out for her role as well. Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but Ryan adds, "I love her, and I said we'd definitely be interested."In other Glee news, the post-Super Bowl episode is shaping up to be the biggest show in the series' history. Glee director Brad Falchuk gave up a few details backstage at the Golden Globes Sunday night, saying, "We have a huge halftime show with all of our cast in some pretty intense makeup. There's a couple of unexpected kisses in there. So, it's big."
The football-themed episode will also include a big number by The Cheerios, complete with flaming whips and BMX bikers. Brad adds that all of this bores Jane Lynch's snarky cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester to no end.
