At some point during her junior year of college, Mary Tylaska's parents asked her what she planned to do with her life...

Finding "wait to be discovered" an unacceptable answer, Mary was then pressed to come up with a new professional goal...Texas born, bred and educated (yes, she does bleed burnt-orange), one of Mary's first radio jobs was working alongside the infamous (and now late) Morton Downey Jr.

(Not surprisingly, they got along quite well! )

He taught me how to read commercials without sounding like a Stepford wife with Tourette's Syndrome," says Mary fondly. Since then she's done mercenary work for two country stations, an alternative format, and has written/produced/voiced numerous commercials for national companies.

Mary relishes time spent travelling with her husband Joe (they were married in Prague, Czech Republic), taunting the cat and watching the History Channel....Jack and Coke in hand, of course. She is still waiting to be "discovered."
